Who Can Benefit From Chiropractic Care?

Chiropractic treatment is suitable for almost everyone.  There is no pressure to get treatment or sign up for an extensive (expensive) treatment plan. If accepted, once you are better, as are 86% of those accepted, continuing treatment is on an as needed basis based upon your needs.

How Do I Get Spinal Impairments?

Spinal impairments occur by the following: improper lifting, sleep habits, desk/computer positioning, and automobile accidents, work-related accidents, slips/falls, stress, muscle tension, etc. Your genetic bone structure can also make you more susceptible to spinal impairments.

What Is An Adjustment?

A chiropractic adjustment is the art of using a specific force in a precise direction, applied to a joint that is not moving properly.

Why Is An Adjustment Needed?

Joints that are not moving properly can cause compression on spinal nerves causing symptoms to appear throughout the body. Adjustments help restore proper function to the joints that are not performing normally. Joints that do not move enough force other joints to move too much. An adjustment adds motion to a joint, helping the bones to gradually return to a more normal motion.

How Long Does The Treatment Take?

The first consultation takes, on average, about 45 minutes, and a treatment session about 15 minutes, but this will vary according to your condition and your needs.

How Long Will My Treatment Last?

Your treatment duration depends on the nature, severity and duration of your problems. We look for at least 50% improvement during the first 2 weeks of treatment. If 50% improvement is not seen at the end of 2 weeks, you will be re-evaluated, and either your treatment plan will be changed or we will refer you to another medical specialist for more aggressive treatment options.

Will Treatment Hurt?

Manipulation, when carried out correctly by a qualified chiropractic physician, is not painful. If you wait until you can barely walk when even the lightest touch hurts, there may be some initial discomfort. Sometimes, if you have had a problem for some time, you may feel sore while your body starts to adjust. Your chiropractic physician will tell you if this is likely to happen.

Is Chiropractic Treatment Safe? Even If I've Already Had Surgery?

Chiropractic is remarkably safe when a properly qualified and experienced practitioner carries out treatment even after surgery.

Can Chiropractic Treatment Help Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Yes. If the nerves in the wrist are restricted by the carpal bones, then manipulation is very successful.

Can Chiropractic Treatment Help Lower Back Pain?

Yes. Research has shown that Chiropractic care is effective and safe in treating lower back pain. Lower back pain caused by a spinal misalignment, sprain or strain from most types of disc disorders can be helped with Chiropractic spinal adjustments. Neiman Chiropractic Clinic utilizes a very safe and effective adjusting technique for patients with lower back pain.

Can Chiropractic Care Help Neck Pain Or Headaches?

Yes, Chiropractic treatment is  effective in treating headaches or neck pain caused by stress, tension, repetitive strain, spinal misalignments or a loss of normal spinal curvature in the neck. These conditions can be caused from sudden trauma or improper posture. After an  examination and history, Dr. Repp can better assess if Chiropractic care would be beneficial. Many patients note a relief from pain and less dependency on pain medication with Chiropractic treatment.

Do I have to attend a class, bring my spouse, or sign up for a program?
